Connor’s Story
After spending a few years back home and working my way up the corporate ladder, I recognised that I wanted to use the skills and experiences I had gained to help others. When the pandemic took place in 2020, I like many others experienced the impact COVID had on mental wellbeing. Despite this, I used this period to become a health and wellness advocate and made plans to set up a business which would help the wider population feel empowerment through fitness. As I had the time to do all things fitness and wellness related, personally I experienced the confounding impact of fitness on health both physically and mentally.
Shortly after making this plan however, I was met with another obstacle. I experienced a mid 20-s health struggle and I was diagnosed with a minor stroke at the age of 25 due to an undetected heart condition which meant I spent a few days in hospital and 4 months off work. I had to undergo a heart procedure in Edinburgh to prevent this from happening again.
Despite this setback, I had two things which kept me going, the first was I knew that I wanted to begin my online personal training certification and the second was that I had the drive and willpower to undergo a transformative fitness experience. I knew I wanted to help other people who have faced challenges, experience similar results by providing them with bespoke workout routines which would help those who he need a plan which is focused on fitness for beginners to those who need help in changing their workout routine and experience first class results.
I know that if I can experience life changing results in a situation of adversity, then so can you and it would be my privilege to help you write your inspiring fitness story. In addition to this, I am always developing the team and myself and our ambition is to become the number one health and wellness coaching provider.
Born in Dundee, I have had an interesting life so far, yet I have also had some personal challenges along the way to reaching my own personal transformation.
As a child I was shy, I didn’t have much fitness motivation and lacked confidence. I was seen as the overweight kid in class and classmates used to make fun of me, making me anxious and shy growing up. Using my own experience, I knew I wanted to help others overcome their personal challenges from struggle to success.
From leaving school, I worked in hospitality for 10 years in 5 star hotels and the luxurious Royal Scotsman Train. I struggled to fit in a proper plan of fitness as I was working long hours, 6 days per week. I have always had a love of football but did not really take diet and exercise seriously until my early twenties. That was when I made significant changes to my diet and physical activity levels which led to a significant weight loss transformation. I spent some time in Australia working where I did a lot of growing up, building resilience and going through the biggest mindset shift which consequently became the start of my success story.
